Haute Event: Tinie Tempah at Tao; Run Rev at Lavo

UK sensation Tinie Tempah hosted Worship Thursday at Tao at the Venetian last night. The British rapper signed autographs on the red carpet before heading into to Tao Asian Bistro for a dinner of signature dishes with friends.

After dinner, he took over a VIP table on the dance floor to take in the sounds of DJ Five. Just after 1 a.m., Tempah surprised the crowd, taking the stage for a performance. The crowd went wild and sang along as he treated party-goers to a series of his hits including, “Pass Out,” “Frisky,” “Miami 2 Ibiza,” and “Written in the Stars.”

The night wrapped up with a house music set from DJ Viktoria Metzger.

On Wednesday, Rev Run once again enthralled a packed crowd at Lavo’s Old School Wednesday at the Palazzo. In his most energetic performance to date, he kept partiers entertained for more than an hour, teaming with DJ Ruckus.

Spotted checking out the scene was former NBA pro John Salley, who was heard saying, “I love my life. I can’t believe I’m here right now.”
