Schwarzenegger’s Bodyguards Are Seemingly Recession Proof

News | December 28, 2009

It seems the recession hasn’t touched bodyguards, as it was reported that the budget for those who protect Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and other top officials tripled since Schwarzenegger took office. California’s state records showed that spending on the California Highway Patrol’s Protective Services Division’s grew from $14.4 million to $43.3 million last year. It might have had something to do with the fact that the star of all Terminators and a whole bunch of other films was already a huge celebrity. This division also protects courts, buildings and five other elected officials, but the cost of protecting these five other officials held at around $1 million a year.
