The First Underground 5-Star Hotel

If you like 5-star luxury but also enjoy a great innovative idea, then a new development in Surrey, England may be your ideal destination.

There are new plans in the works in Surrey, England to develop a 5-star hotel underneath the English countryside. This has never been done before, so if the plans come to be then the Hersham Golf Club in Surrey, where the hotel will be located, will not only be a change of scenery, it will also go down in history.

The hotel will be built under green-belt land, which is a protected type of territory meaning the hotel will have to be constructed out of sight, should the plans continue. The potential hotel will feature approximately 200 guest rooms and a spa, all of which will be situated below grounds and near the golf course.

The people behind the idea are hoping that the new concept will “enhance the sense of being at one with nature, in addition to offering customers and environmentally friendly retreat.”
