Art Viceroy 2009
On December 2nd through December 6th, Art Viceroy 2009 help an independently curated exhibition set within the elegant Icon Hotel in Brickell. Led by curator Renée Vara, the exhibition made bold aesthetic statements with over 40 artists’ solo installations that were formulated around the context, architecture, and social space of downtown Miami. Over 3,000 international visitors attended the Art Viceroy event, including The Andy Warhol Museum’s Eric Shiner, designer Joseph Altuzarra, model Ben Bonnet, Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Adriana Farietta of the Brooklyn Museum, and the Misshapes.
