Haute Event: NAHM Launch At A Man & A Woman Boutique

On Wednesday May 11, Spring was in the air at the reception for the debut of NAHM at A Man & A Woman. Host Byrdie Bell took a break from finals to toast Alexandria Hilfiger and Nary Manivong’s much-lauded first collection. Byrdie, dressed in a sheer mesh floor-length shirt, and Alexandria in a wool twill asymmetric dress (both from NAHM), were a perfect pair to host the large group of friends who came out to show their support.

Georgia May Jagger arrived with Alexandria in a gorgeous mustard velvet sheath from the collection just as A Man & A Woman’s own Erin Crandall and artist Jenna Gribbon mingled with guests including designers Christian Cota, Timo Weiland and Rebecca Minkoff (herself glowing as she expects her first child). As DJ Chelsea Leyland turned the music up, the crowd grew to include actor Gavin Bellour, Jenne Lombardo, Le Call, Milk’s Mazdack Rassi, Fern Mallis, Kipton Cronkite, Hannah Bronfman and Derek Blasberg (the latter arriving on his bicycle just in time for a dance off with Georgia May).

A Man & A Woman launched NAHM exclusively for Fall 2011 with a trunk show that runs through next Wednesday, May 18. Alexandria Hilfiger and Nary Manivong will be making another appearance at the store this Saturday, May 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. when the store will be open to the public and they can personally talk to customers about their new collection.

A Man & A Woman is located at 14 Christopher Street and is open daily from noon to 7 p.m.
