News | May 9, 2011
Shanghai’s haute dining scene has welcomed a new addition to, Shook!, an eclectic eatery with four chefs at the helm, serving up Chinese, Japanese, South-East Asian and modern Western cuisine from an open kitchen. Located inside the SwatchArt Peace Hotel, a Renaissance-style building located on Nanjing Road, the restaurant overlooks the Huangpu river and glittering Pudong skyline.

This is the the restaurant’s first outpost outside of Kuala Lumpur, and is headed up by chef Kevin Cape, with stand-out dishes including the snow white dancing prawns, confit of slow cooked salmon and Cajun-style seabass.

The wine cellar showcases an enviable range of rare wines, including Bordeaux from the Chateau Cheval Blanc and Chateau d’Yquem estates, with vintages dating back to 1945.

Before dinner, guests can enjoy an aperitif at Time Bar, where elongated glass windows illuminate the neon-lit skyline along the river.

Don’t miss the signature Caviar Royal: Moët & Chandon Vintage 2003 and ‘pearls’ of Crème de Cassis.
