The Ducati Diavel is making its national premiere on Friday, March 25. Are you ready?
Go AZ Motorcycles will be hosting an event on Friday, March 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. in celebration of Ducati’s latest engineering feat, the Diavel. And if you’ve been itching to give this power cruiser a test-drive, here’s your shot, because Go AZ Motorcycles will also be offering demo rides all day on Saturday, March 26.
Here are the specs. (Like you haven’t already done your research …) If you were expecting this thing to be a beast, we have to admit, it is one — although more so in power than in size. With a dry weight of just 463 pounds, the Diavel is loads lighter than its peers, such as the Harley-Davidson V-Rod (620 lbs.) and the Yamaha V-Max (689 lbs.), and the Carbon model even sheds an extra 7 pounds, weighing in at 456. On both, you’ll find the seat at a height of 30.3 inches.
The liquid-cooled, Testastretta 11 that motors the Diavel is one of the most powerful Ducati has ever introduced to public roads, peaking at 162 hp at 9,500 rpm and an immense 94 lb.-ft. of torque. at 8,000 rpm. The machine easily pushes its way from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds, and it maxes out at a top speed of 160 mph.
The standard Diavel carries a price tag of $16,995, with an asking price of $19,995 for the Carbon model. And add on an extra $400 if it’s the red Carbon model you have your heart set on.
