Haute Event: Rolling Stone Magazine’s Pre-Oscar Party

The editors of Rolling Stone Magazine definitely know who to call to throw a party for Oscar weekend. Famed event planner, Cara Kleinhaut of Caravents Inc, gathered young starlets to celebrate one of the biggest bashes of the year at Drai’s at the W Hollywood. In order to breach the elevators that will take you to Hollywood heaven, you must be on general pop list, press list, celeb list, any list–and the only list I wanted to see was A-list.

The first celeb I spotted at the bar was pre-Academy Award winner, Mr. Aaron Sorkin. I wobbled in my Loubs to the back patio and saw Sarah Silverman posing for pictures with fellow funny guy, Jeff Ross. Small platters of bite size fare floated by on trays as we sipped on bevies from Sky Vodka. The cast of “90210″ chatted amongst themselves like their own high school clique, while Brandi Norwood and Maksim from Dancing with the Stars looked cozy across the dance floor.  Mark Salling gleefully broke the ice with Trevor Donovan while standing in the cue for the loo. Everyone was cuttin a rug to jams by Quest Love from the Roots. Guest after guest piled in the T-Mobile photo booth like a clown car to remember who, what, when, wear.

The cherry on top was not dessert, but seeing Jeremy Piven and Rex Lee. I refrained from annoying them with Ari Gold quotes but it didn’t stop me from being paparazzo!
