Harry Winston’s First Middle East Flagship Store To Open Next Month in Emirates Towers

News | February 15, 2011

The region’s jewelry enthusiasts are in for a treat next month with the opening of Harry Winston’s first flagship store in the Middle East to be located in Dubai’s Emirates Towers.

New York jeweler Harry Winston was renowned as the largest gem collector in the world after the Queen of England. In 1949, he organized a special viewing of his Court of Jewels collection which exhibited gemstones never been seen by the public. The collection subsequently toured American cities from 1949 until 1953 and was then put away until last November when the House of Harry Winston exhibited it to VIP guests at its 5th Avenue jewelry store.

Select pieces from the Court of Jewels will be displayed to celebrate the opening of the Emirates Towers flagship store. Such pieces have an estimate of over 3.6 billion Dirhams.

Each gemstone at Harry Winston has a story to tell and the unique craftsmanship of such exquisite pieces go beyond just mere price: They are at once symbols of beauty, heritage, and society’s timeless love for elegant objects. The opening of Harry Winston’s Middle East flagship store is truly an occasion worth celebrating.
