News | December 4, 2009

For all of you watch collectors and watch enthusiasts, here’s an interesting watch you might want to bid on. Antiquorium is auctioning off a rare Patek Philippe platinum wristwatch worth over $1 million in NYC on Dec. 9th. The extraordinary Patek Philippe Ref. 3974 (produced in 1999) is a minute repeating wristwatch with a black dial, perpetual calendar and moon phases, on a dashing alligator strap.

Only three other models of this reference number model in platinum have ever been sold at auction. Now, it’s being offered with two additional dials.

Also of interest for the Patek aficionado is the Patek Philippe Ref. 3450 with transparent case back (produced in 1983), which is an exquisite piece and an extremely rare 18K yellow gold wristwatch that includes a perpetual calendar, moon phases, and leap year indicator. It is estimated at $200,000 – $300,000.
