Turkey on the Town: Thanksgiving Dinners in Orange County

Whether you burn your bird, skimp on sides or just don’t want to deal with the holiday, there’s more than just take out. Instead of ordering in, head out on the town at any of these Orange County restaurants that are serving up their own spin on the holiday’s traditions. Near or far, there’s nowhere like the shores of your home turf to enjoy the chill in the air and stuff yourself full of the best food. And the best part? No clean up.

Prego Ristorante

November 25 – from 1 pm-8 pm
With all white-meat turkey, trimmings and cheesecake for dessert, you’ll wonder why anyone tries to make an entire meal like this at home. With Prego’s signature service and a homey atmosphere, you might just want them to cater next year or just bring the entire family into the restaurant. $19.95 per person.

Agora Churrascaria

November 25 – from 11 am-7 pm

Agora offers the traditional Thanksgiving meal in Irvine, including roasted turkey, Brazilian-style stuffing, turkey gravy with champagne, cream mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin purée as well as Agora’s regular menu, including their renowned skewered meats. $41 per adult and $35 per child.

Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza

November 25 – from 11 am-7 pm

Charlie Palmer’s features a three-course dinner with choices for the harvest holiday. The prix-fixe meal is $68 per person and $34 for children under 12. For those who need a midday drink, the lounge will be open all day with football on the big screens and the full bar menu ready to serve.

Scott’s  Restaurant & Bar

November 25 – Service begins at noon

Scott’s offers a three-course prix fixe menu for Thanksgiving dinner. The regular a la carte menu is not available on Thanksgiving. $55 per person.

Palm Terrace Restaurant at the Island Hotel

November 25 – from 11 am-7 pm

With a modern American Thanksgiving meal created by acclaimed Chef Bill Bracken and served family-style, the Terrace is homey and cozy while still being chic. The menu includes Slow Roasted Tom Turkey with Chestnut-Cranberry Bread Pudding and more. To complete the holiday meal, Pastry Chef Michael Owens will offer a bevy of irresistible desserts. $75 per adult; $38 children 12 and under.

TAPS Fish House & Brewery

November 25 – from 1 pm-7 pm

The Thanksgiving feast at TAPS has everything from an oyster bar to everything you’d expect for Thanksgiving, including sumptuous sides and the big bird. All beers will be on tap and flowing freely  and the dessert station will keep you coming back for more. $39.95 per adult and $14.95 for children.
