Cipriani Arrives in the Middle East on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
In 1931, Giuseppe Cipriani opened Harry’s Bar on the first floor of an abandoned rope warehouse in Venice. Since then Cipriani has grown into world-renowned hospitality brand with luxury hotels in Venice, London, Los Angeles, New York, Hong Kong, Istanbul and Porto Cervo Sardinia and now in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Yacht Club.
Abu Dhabi’s Cipriani will include Cipriani’s signature Italian restaurant; a Wine and Bellini room; “Yotto,” the brand’s first Japanese restaurant; a cigar lounge; a nightclub called “Allure”; as well as a private member’s yacht club and also catering facilities equipped to host royal events, weddings, concerts, and public and private occasions.
Launched by The Destination, a joint venture between Mr. Ali Jassim and Mr. Mohamed Bin Jabr Al Suwaidi which overseas a range of projects such as the Yas Yacht Club and Cipriani. “We are delighted to be bringing such an outstanding brand to the region, a name that dates back to 1931 and is synonymous with one of the world’s greatest in luxury hospitality, quality and service. There is no place better suited to open our operations than the Yas Yacht Club, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the development of Yas Island, fit harmoniously with the Formula One track, and be the leaders in all the world-class yachting events that will be hosted under the patronage of the Yacht club,” said Ali Jassim, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of The Destination in a recent press release.
Cipriani will bring Italian luxury and refinement to Abu Dhabi in a level of exclusivity not previously seen in the Middle East.
Cipriani opens this weekend to coincide with Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix. For more information visit www.cipriani.com
