This Luxury Brand is Setting a New Standard in Children’s Fashion
There is a certain kind of brand that is born not from a business plan but from a deeply personal need — and Petite Maison Kids is exactly that. Founded in 2018 by Katerina Azarova while she was pregnant with her daughter and searching for children’s clothing she genuinely loved, the New York-based luxury label has quietly become one of the most compelling names in elevated children’s fashion. Ahead, we sat down with Azarova to talk about the gap she spotted in the U.S. market, the meaning behind the name, and the Spring 2026 pieces she cannot stop reaching for.

HAUTE LIVING: How did you decide to create the brand? What’s the story behind the brand?
KATERINA AZAROVA: I decided to create Petite Maison Kids when I was pregnant with my daughter and realized I couldn’t find children’s clothing that I truly loved in the U.S. market. I wanted high-quality, unique designs that were sophisticated and timeless, yet still perfectly suitable for little ones. That gap became my inspiration. I started designing pieces that combined elegance with the innocence of childhood — clothing that feels special, heirloom-worthy, and meaningful. What began as a personal quest evolved into Petite Maison Kids, a brand built on craftsmanship, thoughtful detail, and celebrating life’s most memorable moments for children and families.
Today, Petite Maison Kids offers collections for newborns through 12 years, with a particular focus on coordinating and matching sibling outfits for boys and girls. Our designs feature meticulous attention to detail, comfort, and refined style, making them perfect for families wanting timeless, beautiful clothing that can be shared and celebrated across generations.
HL: How did you come up with the concept?
KA: The brand and the name came from my desire to create a “little house” of thoughtful, elevated children’s clothing. Petite Maison — which means “small house” in French — felt like the perfect way to capture that idea: a place where each piece is carefully designed, timeless, and special, just like a home filled with memories. From the beginning, we wanted to be closely involved as a direct-to-consumer brand, ensuring the highest level of customer care and a truly personal shopping experience. With this concept in mind, we opened our first retail location in Greenwich, CT in 2023.
HL: What are some of your favorite pieces right now?
KA: Right now, I’m especially excited about pieces from our Spring 2026 collection that combine comfort, style, and that signature Petite Maison Kids touch. The Terry Collection is a favorite because it’s soft, easy to wear, and effortless for little ones, yet still elevated — especially when paired with a blazer for that refined, “old money” vibe.

The Violet Tweed Collection is so charming; we love combining classic tweed with airy tulle for looks that are sophisticated and utterly adorable. And the Amelia Collection, featuring a vintage-inspired digital print we created, is playful and timeless, full of summer fun with lace, ruffles, and bows.
