Raffles Hotels & Resorts have turned butler service into an art form. It’s almost like they have a sixth sense when it comes to a guest’s needs. They certainly anticipated all of mine.

And that doesn’t just go for one of its hotels, either, but all, of which are being highlighted in a new campaign, The Butler Did It. Think: afternoon tea with a Cambodian royal. A secret-history tour of Churchill’s war rooms in London. A helicopter flight over Istanbul’s skyline guided by your butler. Or a private Balinese ritual followed by a jamu-making workshop and a homemade meal in a local family’s home. This isn’t your average itinerary—it’s a series of completely bespoke journeys, crafted with the kind of detail, intuition, and delight that only a Raffles butler could pull off.

Each package is designed to showcase the cultural richness of its destination through the lens of Raffles hospitality: elegant, immersive, and just a little bit enchanted. From Singapore and Seychelles to Paris, Istanbul, and now Jaipur, Boston, Doha, and Bahrain, the experiences are rooted in place—but elevated by the people who bring them to life.

As CEO Omer Acar puts it, “The magic of Raffles lies in delivering a highly personalized level of service that transforms a stay into a remarkable experience.” And with these new offerings, that magic now includes private yacht excursions in Bali, back-to-back grand hotel stays in Cambodia, and bespoke wellness escapes in Bahrain’s most luxurious palace.

Launched under the creative direction of Trey Laird and captured by photographer Dylan Don, The Butler Did It began as a fashion-forward campaign starring Waris Ahluwalia, May Siu, and Robert Rabensteiner. But now it’s something more: a living, traveling concept that invites guests to experience Raffles through the eyes—and impeccable planning—of its most trusted insiders.

So when something unexpected, unforgettable, or quietly spectacular happens on your next Raffles stay? Don’t be surprised when the answer is: the butler did it. Which, again, I discovered this for myself during a recent stay at the impeccable Raffles London at The OWO.

Did they anticipate that I’d like to learn about the history of the hotel through a veritable source, a former Royal security escort who actually attended Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding? Well, specifically, no… but who wouldn’t want to learn about a spot as storied as the The OWO?

In a snapshot, once the beating heart of British military power, the Old War Office has been reimagined as Raffles London at The OWO — a breathtaking new chapter for a building steeped in history and grandeur. Completed in 1906, this vast, stone-clad monument on Whitehall once housed the great strategists of both World Wars, from Winston Churchill to T.E. Lawrence. Ian Fleming worked here, too, and it’s no coincidence that the building feels like the real-life headquarters of James Bond.

Its corridors stretch for miles, its rooms number over a thousand, and every inch carries a story. After decades serving the Ministry of Defence, the building was decommissioned and eventually entrusted to the Hinduja Group, who embarked on a meticulous, multi-year restoration to transform the storied structure into something truly spectacular. Today, Raffles London at The OWO blends Edwardian majesty with modern luxury — complete with 120 rooms, 85 private residences, a Guerlain spa, and some of the most ambitious dining and cocktail spaces in the city.

Among the offerings I personally received: a drink upon arrival (always essential in my world); fabulously inscribed pillowcases on the bedding speaking to luxury and adventure (which I was ready to buy, but which were presented as a gift), a bottle of my favorite champagne, the VERY room I would have picked could I have stayed anywhere in the hotel — the whimsical and wonderful Turret Suite, with its winding staircase, a telescope, and picture-perfect view of the Royal Horseguards. I felt like Sleeping Beauty in the best way possible.

Other butler offerings here, however, include the following:

1. Unpacking & Packing Services
No need to lift a finger — your butler will expertly unpack your luggage on arrival and pack it again when you depart, folding and organizing your wardrobe to perfection.

2. 24/7 Personalized Assistance
Need fresh pressed clothes before dinner at Mauro Colagreco’s rooftop restaurant? A last-minute Dior delivery from Bond Street? Your butler is on call around the clock.

3. In-Suite Dining & Setup
Whether it’s breakfast in bed, an afternoon tea spread, or a late-night champagne craving, the butler handles setup with precision and discretion.

4. Curated Experiences & Reservations
From VIP access to Westminster Abbey tours to front-row theatre seats or private tastings in The OWO’s speakeasy-style bar, the butler can make nearly any request happen.

5. Shoe Shine, Pressing & Garment Care
Daily shoe polishing, steaming, and dry-cleaning coordination — all managed seamlessly behind the scenes.

6. Seamless Coordination with Spa & Wellness
Want your Raffles Spa massage timed precisely after a steam and champagne bath? Consider it handled.

7. Total Discretion
At Raffles, your butler isn’t just helpful — they’re invisible until you need them, trained in the art of anticipation and absolute privacy.

So when Raffles declares that “the butler did it,” I can say with the utmost confidence that they are right. And I don’t know that any other stay future stay anywhere else is going to feel quite so luxurious when I’ll know that, once upon a time, I had a mind reader curating my every need.

Raffles at The OWO is located in the Old War Building at 57 Whitehall, London SW1A 2BX
