Ocean Edge resort feels like home. Sure, I’ve been going since I was 8 years old so I’m a little biased, but there’s something about seeing the sprawling lawn and red-domed Mansion that just feels right. So let’s begin. Tucked away in the lowkey town of Brewster, Ocean Edge consists of two properties: The Mansion and The Villages. The Mansion features 122 beautiful rooms, all embodying a quaint Cape Cod charm in different ways. The resort’s private beach is a short stroll away, along with bayside pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, clay tennis courts, and two iconic restaurants—Ocean Terrace and Bayzo’s Pub.

A few minutes down the road, The Villages boast 220 apartments, each bursting with a coastal ambience, and a separate bedroom and living area with a kitchenette, washer, dryer, patio or terrace, and pullout sofa or Murphy bed.

These are ideal for families that want to stay together, those who are staying for a week or longer, or even the couple that wants an intimate stay in what feels like their own home. A world-class golf course runs through The Villages, and for dining options, head over to Linx Tavern and Shark Bah.

Ocean Edge resort really does have something for everyone—be it the bike trail (and cruiser rentals) that runs behind the property, the 18-hole golf course, croquet on the front lawn, oyster bed tours, pickleball, tennis, kayaking, paddleboarding, Beach House Spa, and my personal favorite, Beach Bar, which overlooks the bay and offers regionally-inspired cocktails.
