Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame Honors Legends of Swimwear and Launches Sun Safe & Confident Initiative

Paraiso Miami Beach is launching the Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame (SIHOF), an exclusive new initiative honoring the visionaries who have shaped the swimwear industry and redefined fashion standards. The inaugural Honors Night will be held at the iconic Bass Museum in Miami Beach on May 28, 2025, kicking off Miami Swim Week with a celebration of creativity, inclusivity, and empowerment.

In addition to celebrating the industry’s most influential figures, this year’s Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame introduces the Sun Safe & Confident initiative in partnership with Sofia Vergara’s brand, Toty—an empowering campaign that promotes confidence, sun protection, and body positivity in swimwear culture.

SIHOF isn’t just a celebration of glamorous aesthetics—it’s a recognition of pioneers who have redefined the swimwear landscape. The Honors Night will spotlight influential figures who have shaped the industry’s culture, creativity, and conscience. Among this year’s honorees:

• MJ Day, Editor-in-Chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, will be recognized as Media Icon for her groundbreaking work in promoting body diversity and representation.

• Renowned fashion photographer Jamie Nelson earns the title of Photographer Icon for her cinematic approach to capturing the beauty of swimwear.

• Eco-conscious brand Vitamin A is awarded as Sustainability Icon for its leadership in sustainable swimwear innovation.

• Influencer powerhouses Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, founders of a global swimwear community, will be honored as New Media Icons.

• A surprise recipient will be announced live as “The ICON” of the night.

Hosted by television personality Camille Kostek, alongside Paige Mastrandrea of Ocean Drive Magazine and Karla Martinez de Salas of Vogue Mexico & Latin America, the evening promises elegance and excitement. Guests will enjoy a live performance by the soulful Caroline Vreeland, with culinary experiences curated by José Andrés Group, signature drinks by LALO Tequila, and VIP transportation by Blacklane.
