Experience Louis Vuitton & Takashi Murakami’s Iconic Revival With The New York City Pop-Up
One of the world’s most coveted fashion collaborations that took the 2000s by storm is officially back. Louis Vuitton and renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami have teamed up to bring back their beloved collection for 2025 and are inviting guests to experience the new re-edition collection like never before with an exclusive, first-of-its-kind experiential pop-up in downtown Manhattan.

The re-edition collection will be divided into a series of chapters featuring Louis Vuitton’s signature luxury pieces adorned with Murakami’s iconic rainbow flowers.

Set amongst Manhattan’s luxury shopping destination in the SoHo neighborhood, the pop-up allows fans of the collaboration to get up close and personal with the infamous partnership like never before. Inspired by the modular hotels in Tokyo, the pop-up gives off a minimalistic and futuristic aesthetic, with Takasha’s signature bold colors popping throughout. As guests wander through the sections of the space, they’ll be able to shop the full complement of Louis Vuitton x Murakami’s Chapter One re-edition offerings, from the colorful Monogram Multicolore to the whimsical Superflat Panda and more.

An exhibition space of the pop-up allows visitors to get up close and personal with the archival pieces from the iconic original collection, marking this as a true milestone for artistic collaboration. Historic examples include the Eve Love Monogram and Monogram Multicolore in both black and white (2003/2005), the Monogram Blossom (2003), the Monogram Cerise (2005), and an ultra-rare Monogram Multicolore fringes (2006). The pop-up also features a care station, which demonstrates the House’s commitment to sustainability. Here, owners of pieces from the original collections can bring their pieces and have them repaired by replacing certain pieces, canvas cleanings, and restoring hand-painted features.

A cozy cinema space presents another journey into the past by playing Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Monogram Film and Superflat First Love film, each released in the 2000s. These have been remastered in honor of the new collection. Lastly, completing the pop-up is a chic cafe where, for the weekend of January 10th, visitors who make a purchase can access the cafe and enjoy complimentary drinks (and snacks) in custom Louis Vuitton x Murakami cups while in the comfort of a Murakmi flower cushion.
