An Art Icon: Inside Haute Living’s Dinner by Places.co Celebrating JR During Art Basel Miami Beach 2023

There’s nothing quite like Art Basel Miami Beach. As esteemed artists, collectors, and tastemakers fill the city, the energy of Miami becomes electric. Last week, Haute Living continued to ignite that Miami magic by celebrating the famed French artist and Haute Living Art Basel cover star, JR. This year, JR debuted his latest work, “The Chronicles of Miami,” in the heart of the Miami Design District and at Superblue, revealing JR’s affinity for the city of Miami.

Presented by Places.co, Haute Living hosted an intimate dinner at Swan Miami, alongside Poppi, Freestream, Cristal, El Cristiano Tequila, and Dominus. But before dinner, guests had the opportunity of a lifetime: a guided gallery tour by JR at Galerie Perrotin. Here, guests indulged in drinks by Poppi, a prebiotic-infused soda in cans that are works of art themselves, and Cristal as they explored the gallery and listened to JR speak about his work.

After the private gallery tour, guests arrived at Swan Miami, a Miami Design District staple, where they were welcomed into a lush greenery setting with an elegant tablescape and a Poppi floral wall. Bespoke cocktails were served during the cocktail hour, such as the Champagne Poppi, Poppi Marg, and El Cristiano Tequila, alongside Dominus wines.

Kamal Hotchandani, Haute Media Group CEO, welcomed guests as they took their seats for the coursed dinner, graciously thanking JR for being a part of the Haute Living family and expressing gratitude to those who made the evening so special. The menu featured Swan Miami’s signature dishes, including Hamachi Sashimi and Mezzi Rigatoni, complemented by Chocolate Hazelnut Profiteroles and Cheesecake Tarts.
