During Paris Haute Couture, Christian Louboutin hosted guests at the Manège Battisti in La Caserne des Célestins for a make believe ‘LouBhoutan Express’ train, journeying from Paris to Thimphou, Bhutan, to launch his Women’s Spring-Summer 2020 collection. The space—located at the French Republican Guard Headquarters—was completely reimagined for a high-end, but quintessentially whimsical experience, in the most Louboutin of ways.
In addition to SS20, Mr. Louboutin also featured his special capsule collection called LouBhoutan, drawing inspiration from the varied colorings of the Himalayan sky and the enchanting nature of Bhutanese architecture. 13 exclusive styles are included in the capsule collection, each of which embrace and celebrate the beautiful craftsmanship of Bhutan’s culture. The styles tout hand-sculpted and hand-painted wood platforms, which are a culmination of six years of collaboration with students from School of the 13 Royals Arts and Crafts of Thimphou, Bhutan.
VIP attendees included Rowan Blanchard, Ellie Bamber, Natalia Vodianova, Heidi Klum, Olivia Palermo, Mandy Moore, Adria Arjona, Cindy Bruna, Winnie Harlow, Sabrina Elba and several others. All images courtesy of Getty Images. For more information, please visit the brand’s website by clicking here.
