In the Villa Reale garden in Milan, Silvia Venturini Fendi’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection was showcased for FENDI. A collaboration between friends—Fendi and Italian director Luca Guadagnino—the pieces included fun prints and accessories for a real summery, but mature feel.

Specifically, Guadagnino’s ‘Botanics of FENDI’ prints were found on various textures like cotton and nylon, while wool plaid picnic blankets and a mesh Peekaboo bag for men also made appearances. Other natural fabrics used included denim, leathers, silks, cashmere and suede. Perfect for the green surroundings, the ready-to-wear collection was noticeably inspired by gardening uniforms, with models wearing artisanal weaving and lattice-work techniques in materials like straw, leather, knit and fur. Earthy colors like khakis and greens and beiges were prominently on display; even the accessories were botanically-themed, with raffia FF logo sunhat, FENDI gardening shoes and whimsical key rings with bottle-opener functionality, touting miniature rakes and pruning shears. Notable attendees included Caro Daur, Nasir Dean, Tommy Dorfman, Rob Raco, Sarah Snyder, Marc Forne, Niki Wu Jim, Guido Milani and Alex Pettyfer.
