What makes your market Haute?

The fact that the Island is so difficult to get to and most of our guests arrives via private jets or yachts adds to the Haute vibe.

The residential crowd is made up of…

A mix of local Bahamians and affluent individuals looking for a discreet, laid-back island lifestyle.

The community vibe is…

Island Chic, but not pretentious. Billionaires mingle with School kids in the bakery or deli waiting for breakfast or donuts. Flip flops or bare feet and shorts are the style and no one cares if you’re a celebrity or yard worker.

The lifestyle offered is…

an elegantly casual laid back “Briland” life…#1 its safe. No big developments, chain hotels, or cruise ships, so the crowd is a bit more appreciative of safely enjoying the natural feel of the Island.

The most popular building type you’ll find is…

classic Bahamian architecture, we have many well maintained and restored historic homes…Some would call it British Colonial design. We have many cottage style homes in town accented with bright colored shutters and all the homes have tons of character.

The average home price is…

That’s hard to pin down due to the small size of the Island and the range of values. On the Beach Homes are 4 to 19 Million. The North end of the Island is more private and more expensive. Beachfront is the most expensive (5 to 19 M). Next is the Harbour (3- 6M). then the Village (2 to 4 M.)

The area’s greatest highlight on our island is…

the Pink Sands Beach where the sand is literally pink. There’s no other beach in the world like it, it’s magical. Also to simply mingle with the eclectic mix of both locals and residents from around the world is pretty cool.

The area’s best driving-distance getaways are…

everywhere on the island is a short golf cart ride away. Pink Sands Beach is the best spot on the island and we have many nearby reefs for diving, excellent boating & fishing opportunities, the option to “island hop” to nearby islands and many restaurants and small boutiques for shopping. Pink Sands beach is one of the most beautiful and well-known beaches in the world. Remember you are in the Islands, so a short drive may include a boat ride, but For a day drive, one could check out the sights on Eleuthera. Like the Glass window bridge. Jump into Saffire hole, a cool cliff diving spot on Eleuthera (it’s an Island secret), as well as Preachers Cave. There are the world famous swimming pigs which are a short boat ride away.

The best spot to dine fancy is…

The Dunmore overlooking the Pink Sands beach.Or the Rock House on the Harbourside. the Landing is another option that’s fabulous overlooking the bay st.

The best spot to find entertainment is…

Gusty’s is an all-time favorite and has been the go-to spot for years. Daddy Ds is another popular night spot.

The best spot to go shopping is…

there are so many wonderful boutiques in Harbour Island that it’s hard to choose the best one. For resort clothing such as India Hicks’ boutique The Sugar Mill, Dake’s Shop, The Blue Rooster as well as Ms. Mays.

The best place to tee off is –

no golf on the island….A morning flight to Baha Mar, and back before sundown!
