“Artistic creation is a force which should preferably be directed towards the exploration of space, of the universe, of the infinite realities which surround us, but of which we are hardly conscious,” Soto said.

Soto has devoted his career to exploring the meaning of life through his art and has found his niche in abstract art such as his coveted “Penetrables” artwork which explores how the environment interacts with its surrounding space and receptors.

For Vigas, the inspiration behind his art stems from the natural and cultural landscapes of his homeland as well as the European avant-garde movements of the 20th century. During the 1950s, Vigas transitioned over to geometric abstraction which allowed him to explore and express his cultural background and personal identity.

The Soto to Vigas art exhibition will be on display at Gary Nader Art Centre located at 62 NE 27th Street, Miami, FL 33137.
