Haute 100-lister and avid philanthropist Angela Birdman gathered her “wolfpack” team and other like-minded animal lovers to enjoy a luxurious night of shopping while giving back to a great cause at the 4th Annual Walk in Style For the Animals event. The charitable shopping fête brings together Miami’s most fashionable and philanthropic members of society—as well as their adorable furry friends—to come shop the latest looks at this year’s venue—Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour—where the money spent went toward benefitting The Humane Society of Greater Miami. In total, the event raised over $10,000 for the Foundation. In addition to the funds raised, Walk in Style for the Animals and Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour made an additional $2,500 donation to Hollydogs, a non-profit tosave retired racing greyhounds.

As a strong “adopt, don’t shop” advocate, Birdman graced the event dressed to impress in a stylish Versace set, with her beloved dog Lola (whom she rescued through the program) in her arms throughout the night as she greeted guests and helped emcee the event. Guests enjoyed music from a live DJ set, bites like delicious truffle popcorn and sips of Santero 958 rosé.

The pinnacle moment of the night took place when the highly-anticipated raffle commenced, which included lust-worthy items like a Versace handbag from Neiman Marcus; an overnight stay at the St. Regis Bal Harbour; an overnight stay at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino; a massage and gift bag from the renowned Acqualina Spa by ESPA; and something for the adorable pups—dog treats from the gourmet dog treat company, Le Chien.

A portion of all shopping proceeds, as well as the total revenue from the raffle portion, went straight to the Humane Society of Greater Miami, which, according to their site, “is a limited admit, adoption guarantee facility dedicated to placing every dog and cat in [their] care into a loving home, promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs.”
