Hailing from NYC, the hip omakase brand Sushi by Bou has now expanded to the Magic City in one of the most iconic destinations—the historic Versace Mansion. The intimate, four-seat Sushi by Bou, Gianni’s Suite, offers a unique omakase experience that lasts for 75 minutes and features some of the freshest seafood in the form of innovative nigiri pieces prepared by the chef. Dinner starts at $125/person, excluding drinks, tax and gratuity.

Conceptualized by Michael Sinensky and Erika London of Simple Venue Hospitality Group, as well as Chef David Bouhadana who commands the sushi counter, the group decided it was time to bring New York-famous concept to sunny Miami Beach—serving as Sushi by Bou’s fourth location. The quaint space pays homage to the mansion’s rich history, maintaining its existing architecture and original design with a fresh, updated look in a Modern Neoclassical style.

The small sushi counter features four cushioned seats, and the room is decorated with emerald green loveseats near a cozy fireplace. Additionally, there is a 25-seat cocktail lounge overlooking Ocean Drive. One of the signature aspects of the dining destination is the high-tech “Mr. Sake” sake fountain, which pours glasses of sake straight from the bottle by the push of a button.

While the menu changes depending on what the chef deems the most fresh that evening, guests can expect to enjoy delicacies throughout the 17-course meal like Uni, seared Wagyu, bluefin tuna and fatty otoro. Upon opening up in 2019, Sushi by Bou immediately sold out through the month of February. Reservations for March are now open, but filling up quick, so be sure to snag your seat here.
