Jordi Molla Exhibition Pop-Ups At The Mondrian South Beach For Art Basel 2018

Renowned artist and actor Jordi Molla will be hosting a special pop-up exhibition at the beautiful Mondrian South Beach in honor of Art Basel Miami Beach 2018 from December 6-8th in partnership with David Rosen Galleries.

Known for his role in the award-winning film Blow, Molla has most recently turned his focus to his passion for art. “I use the elements of extreme beauty from the classic and then convert them into POP art, mixing styles such as graffiti to the aesthetics that remind us of Basquiat, Schnabel, etc.—influential North American painters of the 20th Century,” he explains.

Guests can expect to find such works throughout the special pop-up gallery located at the Mondrian South Beach’s grand ballroom area, where they’ll be able to peruse some of his finest pieces that were carefully curated for the occasion. On Tuesday, December 4th, the gallery will officially open to the public from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. Guests will be able to specialty cocktails from Jaja Tequila.

The following day, an intimate Meet & Greet is available as guests visit the exhibit for an unforgettable experience from 4-8 p.m. They will have access to Jordi Molla and can enjoy the artwork and complimentary Jaja cocktails. Tickets to both events are available here: Tuesday & Wednesday.

“The purpose of all of this is to make a profound impact on the viewer and to really involve them in the demystification of this thing called ART; with a sense of humor, irony and above all love,” Molla shares. “That’s precisely the goal, to share love and laughs with the viewer with whom luckily and most of the time, seem to understand the message that I aim to transmit.”
