Haute Living and ‘Team Huggy Bear’ Take a Stand Against Heart Disease at This Year’s Miami Heart Walk

Haute Living was the proud media partner of this year’s Miami Dade Heart Walk at Museum Park in Downtown Miami. Celebrating the Walk’s 25th year anniversary, over 7,000 people were in attendance, as the annual event aims to bring awareness and support the fight against heart disease and stroke.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Associaton’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from deadly heart disease and strokes. This year’s event raised a total of $315,000 with Baptist Health of South Florida as the top corporate team raising $107,000. The top community out of 49 was Team Huggy Bear, in honor of Ryan Patrick Carrigan, who raised $6,782.

Ahead of the annual walk, Haute Living and Team Huggy Bear hosted a private gallery event at Avant Gallery with artist BNS, who designed the Team Huggy Bear shirts. Attendees enjoyed bubbles and bites sponsored by 958 Santero Cuvée and LaMuse, as BNS unveiled his custom artwork for the team. The private event’s top donors will enjoy of a private sunset yacht cruise by Merrill Steven Yachts in January as they enjoy of the Magic City’s breathtaking views.

The Heart Walk included a kid zone, courtesy of Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, a special performance by Latin Grammy nominee Manu Manzo and a guest appearance from the Miami Heat’s very own mascot, Burnie.
