This past Friday night, August 3, Anne and Jay McInerney co-hosted the annual Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala Hamptons Kickoff in Water Mill, NY with Gala Founder Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, the daughter of Rita Hayworth.

Aga Khan and Jay McInerney gave remarks to the crowd, including an update from the recent Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Chicago, the world’s largest forum for the dementia research community. The evening included a silent auction, which raised funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs.

The Hamptons Kickoff was held to celebrate this fall’s upcoming Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala, held on October 23 in New York City. Since the inaugural Rita Hayworth Gala over three decades ago, the New York City, Chicago and Palm Beach events have raised more than $75 million to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
