Linda Evangelista has come a long way from not using social media. Now, the Canadian-born 80s supermodel has utilized the medium to share the most shocking news regarding her personal life. The legendary 52-year-old is officially a grandmother.

“It’s official. I am now a granny. In 1987 I received such a gift of forever love. That gift has given me a blessing,” shared Evangelista on her Instagram post.

The gift she’s referring to is her former stepdaughter Roxanne Marie. In 1987, Evangelista married Marie’s father, Gerald Marie. He was the president of Elite Paris during her active years in the modeling industry. He acted as her agent throughout the remainder of their marriage before they divorced. Despite the divorce, Evangelista and Roxanne Marie remained close.

Linda Evangelista is a mother herself. She shares son Augustin James, 11, with billionaire French magnate, Kering international luxury group Chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault.

She famously sued Pinault in 2012 over his alleged failure to pay child support. The law firm, Louis L. Sternberg, released documents of Evangelista asking for $46,000 per month. Pinault is now husband to actress, producer, and activist Salma Hayek. They are parents to Valentina Paloma Pinault.
