1 Inn of the Seventh Ray

Inn of the Seventh Ray
Imagine dining under the stars, creekside, in the Santa Monica Mountains, and you've got the experience that the Inn of Seventh Ray offers. It's supremely romantic—and has that added touch of whimsy that might make you feel like you've escaped L.A. Besides its ambiance, great care is taken with its fare. Most foods and grains are seasonal organic or come from known local farm. Foods are prepared using the healthy oils: olive, nut, palm, coconut and in some dishes. Chicken and beef are raised naturally and grass fed, its fish wild line-caught. Most foods are prepared on premises with no food colorings, preservatives, refined sugars, flours or chemicals. Breads and desserts are made in-house. It is a wonderful, thoughtful and beautiful place to celebrate love.

2 Il Cielo

Il Cielo
Literally translated, Il Cielo means "the sky" in Italian, which is what you'll be looking at during an evening meal at this Beverly Hills hotspot. For more than 25 years, Il Cielo has consistently been named one of the most romantic destinations in the City of Angel thanks to its twinkly-lit garden, sumptuous Italian fare and stunning skyline. It's no wonder so many wedding proposals take place here: in one way or another, you'll definitely be ready to say "I do" after a dining experience at Il Cielo.

3 The Little Door

The Little Door
If you're in the mood for romance, head to the Little Door on West 3rd. Street and request to sit in its tucked away secret garden. The colorful, romantic courtyard is the perfect spot to celebrate your amore under twinkling lights that mimic the LA skyline above you. Order a bottle of Bordeaux from the eatery's extensive wine list and fall under the spell of its uber-private, uber-romantic atmosphere.

4 Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air

The Dorchester Collection
Wolfgang Puck's eatery at the magical Hotel Bel-Air is the perfect date spot, where you’ll be tucked away in a little alcove with a secret garden-type feel. The air is sultry around you, candlelight flicking around you. The eatery makes an effort to showcase the healthy SoCal lifestyle and California’s fabulous and fresh ingredients. Expect to see intricately arranged and artfully presented veggie dishes, like the summer vegetable tapenade with lemon vinaigrette with yogurt tzatziki, which is so lovely to look at that you might just need to Instagram a photo on your iPhone. Date included.

5 Cliff's Edge

Cliff's Edge
Silver Lake isn't always synonymous with romance, but its Cliff's Edge eatery is in a class of its own. Whether you live by the beach or in Beverly Hills, you should make the effort to have a romantic outing at this east side staple. There is a beautiful, foliage-lined patio with twinkly lights overhead where you can sit with your date over fine wine and oysters in a red wine mignonette. It's like you've entered an alternative universe, and you'll love it.
