“Maria” Christine Dopoulos and Dani are among the top colorists at SHAG Boston!! And SHAG is superb, spectacular and consistent. Maria known as maria_hairtease on Instagram to her almost 7,000 followers (6,143 followers to be precise), has been working at SHAG for already more than two years and for my Haute Living readers who thrive on excellence, Maria would be the colorist to see, but again, SHAG has a colorists team unlike anywhere – unique and progressive – definitely for those hair savvy Haute followers, who appreciate only the best!! If you not only love, but also expect the best, then you are destined to be happy after a visit for your color at SHAG and of course a cut with Sandy too. Yet, SHAG’s entire team of stylists offers excellence and Kara Hurston is an example of one team member that provides an expert cut and in fact, she received the “Best of Boston 2015” in the category of women’s haircut winner award.

Maria is a true artist and an inspiration to all who know her! When I recently talked with her about her craft as a colorist, she shared her passions and goals and more!! Maria says she has a “Hair Plan” for all of her clients – and that is to get their hair healthier. She is determined to heal their hair so it can be the healthiest possible! And will not compromise her artistic integrity for a quick color as she is truly an artist when it comes to color and her authenticity and talent shines in her work!!

And when I asked Maria about her one year goal she responded, “My one year goal is to be better known in Boston.” Yet, she already has people flying in from around the world to see her and I believe the secret to her success is not only her hard work, and perseverance but also because she lives by the SHAG creed and says, “Each person is unique and I don’t have one formula that I apply for each person.” That is true other than to get their hair healthy of course. And Maria communicates, “I’m a perfectionist.” That combined with a love for her clientele, makes Maria certainly special.
There are a number of great colorists at SHAG if Maria is booked because she specializes in fixing color, and complex cases and so forth. And Dani is one of them!! She is another colorist that is definitely divine and again helps SHAG to be superb, spectacular and consistent.
