New Yorkers for Children is a great cause that always attracts a cross-section of A-list New Yorkers. This year’s Annual Fall Gala on September 15th was a very special one, as it celebrated the group’s 20th anniversary to benefit youth in foster care in New York City. The celebration raised more than $1.3 million and was presented by Chloé. A flock of New York City’s top influencers, models and the fashion industry’s most respected veterans came to Cipriani 42nd Street to support the charity. Guests included Dan Rothmann, Trey Songz, Dree Hemingway, Erika Bearman, Kelly Rutherford, Luma Grothe, Frederic Fekkai, Danielle Snyder, Jodie Snyder Morel, Daphne Groeneveld, Indre Rockefeller, Heather Marks, Rose Gilroy, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Anita Hodosi, and  Eniko Mihalik

Hosted by Steve Pemberton, Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion, and Global Chief Diversity Officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance, the evening honored James B. Milliken, Chancellor, The City University of New York for his dedication to and leadership in creating opportunities for the city’s in-need youth. Also among the star attendees: the exceptional young men and women whose lives have been changed because of their involvement with NYFC.

About New Yorkers For Children: NYFC works in partnership with the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) to improve the prospects of children supported by the child welfare system and to engage New Yorkers in that effort. With a focus on young people in foster care, NYFC supports programs that promote programs to ensure stable adulthood through education and sustainable relationships with caring adults. NYFC works with over 1,000 youth in foster care annually through signature programming including the Back-to-School Package Program, the Guardian Scholars Program, the Youth Advisory Board, and the Futures in Motion: Youth CAN!
