Haute Hollywood Emerges for 15th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball

Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart and Russell Simmons were among the guests who emerged over the weekend to honor Queen Latifah at the 15th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.

This year over 650 guests from the film, music and television industries gathered for a magical evening benefitting Chrysalis’ effort to help individuals out of poverty and homelessness by providing the tools necessary to gain employment at a private home in Mandeville Canyon.

The event began with a red carpet and outdoor cocktail reception, followed by a sit-down dinner, awards ceremony and closing night performance from LA indie-pop group PHASES. This year’s Master of Ceremonies was Fred Savage.

Attendees at the Cadillac and Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors Foundation event included co-chairs Rebecca Gayheart-Dane, Rick Hess, Donna Langley, Josh Lieberman, Katherine Pope and Richard Weitz. They were joined by Eric Dane,  Paula Patton, Selma Blair, Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman, Elizabeth Berkley, Russell Simmons, Shawn Levy, Justin Chambers, Balthazar Getty, Rosetta Getty, Sasha Alexander, Vanna White, Soleil Moon Frye and Greg Lauren, among others.

The 2016 recipients of the Spirit of Chrysalis Award included Queen Latifah, Brian Robbins, the founder and CEO of Awesomeness TV, and Hank Steinberg, the creator and Executive Producer of The Last Ship and Without a Trace. The event also celebrated Chrysalis client Kellie Williams, who received the John Dillon Award.

Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment.
