Jaeger-LeCoulture and Roger Dubuis Unveil Shoe-Inspired Collections
“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Attributed to Marilyn Monroe, this statement pretty much sums up the power that many women confer upon their footwear, and in particular, their haute heels.
With this in mind, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Roger Dubuis have paired up respectively with two of the most reputed shoemakers in Paris: Christian Louboutin and the House of Massaro, bringing to ladies exciting new creative ideas for their wrists.
Celebrating the 85th anniversary of its Reverso collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces the Atelier Reverso, inviting each customer to personalize the second dial of her Classic Duo or Duetto timepiece, with engraving and an exciting colour choice of dials and straps in calfskin, alligator leather, ostrich and satin.
In addition to these, and for one year only, guest star Christian Louboutin proposes his own collection of 10 bracelets and 7 dials for the Small and Medium sized Reverso Classic Duetto, under 4 original and creative themes.
Launched this spring in Paris, London, Geneva and Hong Kong, followed by New York, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Ginza, Sao Paulo, and Rome, boutiques with digital tables will allow you to “see” your personalised timepiece before it is made at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture.
Prices start at €11,900 for the automatic Classic Reverso Medium Duetto in stainless steel with dial and leather strap customization. Also available in pink gold.
Roger Dubuis is celebrating Divas this year with its Velvet Diva collection, creating five Velvet timepieces with five unique personalities, distinguishable by colours, stones, dials and straps. For the fifth – the Velvet de Massaro, the distinctive beauty of creative shoemaking is brought to the wrist with a seamed, gold leather strap co-designed by the House of Massaro, maker of custom-made shoes for the world of fashion and glamour since 1894.
A perfect complement to the 36mm white gold case with diamond-set bezel, lugs and décor, this Haute Couture warm gold-toned strap with diamond-set white gold adjustable folding clasp highlights the yellow gold barrel-shaped dial centre, further enhanced with radiating applied hour-markers – including two in yellow gold at 6 and 12 o’clock, arranged on a satin sunburst exterior.
