DUBAI JAZZ FESTIVAL SMASHING SUCCESS

The critically acclaimed Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival lived up to its promise of an amazing three-day extravaganza. Opening night of the 14th edition of the festival and the atmosphere was electric as Youtube Sensation Postmodern Jukebox thrilled the festival goers with spectacular tap dancing. Their energy was truly contagious playing hits like “Bad Romance” and “My Heart Will Go On”. They even had the audience singing along to the popular cover of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”.

British Rock Band James had the crowd going wild at the Dubai Jazz Festival.

British Rock Band James who did an encore as “Moving On” and “Sit Down” weren’t enough. Legendary Band Toto launched into their rocking performance wherein the level of musicianship onstage was immediately apparent. Everyone in the audience, regardless of their age, danced along to each of their tunes.

Carlos Santana closed out Friday evening, leaving attendees anxious for next years Jazz Festival.

ZERO GRAVITY: DXBEACH* ROCKED WITH TIËSTO

Now synonymous with world-class music events, Zero Gravity was the place to be as DXBeach drew capacity crowds over the weekend. This day to night dance music festival, held at Zero Gravity (Skydive Dubai), was also the first official event to include Zero Gravity’s new 2000 square meter pool expansion.

Tiesto is one of the biggest DJs in the world, with stadium-filling tours behind him, and also opened the 2004 Greek Olympic Games, playing his music to billions of people across the world. Originally a trance DJ and producer, he’s broadened his sound in the last decade, and can be found playing across the electronic music spectrum.

DINE WITH THE STARS WAS A MAGICAL NIGHT FOR DUBAI FOOD FESTIVAL 2016

Dubai Food Festival 2016 introduced the first ever ‘Dine With The Stars’ concept on Thursday and Friday, 25th and 26th February, to a sold out crowd. The two magical nights at Armani Pavilion at Armani Hotel saw food lovers gather to taste the most delicious dishes prepared by top chefs from across the world.

The ‘Queen of Arabian Kitchen’ chef Manal Al Alem took centre stage on Thursday and presented 3 delicious dishes from her favorite recipes, while Friday night saw the top five Australian chefs gather for the first time in the world at one banquet. Apart from the amazing five dishes that they jointly created for the evening, the chefs had a blast on stage together as they engaged in some good-natured banter and answered all the questions from the guests.

Within the great ambience of the Armani Pavilion, the attendees included the who’s who in Dubai along with local, regional and international media representatives. Everyone expressed their delight at the two memorable evenings dished out by the celebrity chefs.

TRIBECA HOSTS GoPlayTheWorld LAUNCH NIGHT

Tribeca Kitchen & Bar hosted the launch night of GoPlayTheWorld: Volume 1, a stunning collection of original music from local talent. Having successfully housed the Tribeca Sessions every Saturday, Volume 1 is the first of a series of professionally recorded playlists set to hit music platforms across the region.
