Louis Vuitton Presents the 6th Biennial UNICEF Ball

Last night, some of the biggest stars in Hollywood came together to raise over $2.5 million in support of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF at the 6th Biennial UNICEF ball.

Attendees at the event, which was held at the Beverly Wilshire, included UNICEF Goodwill Ambassado David Beckham—who was honored—multi-Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey, who performed “Always Be My Baby”, “We Belong Together” and “Hero”; UNICEF Ambassadors Angie Harmon (who also emceed the event), AlyssaMilano and Selena Gomez (in LV); UNICEF Supporter Heidi Klum,Jennifer Connelly (in LV), Nicole Kidman (in LV), Léa Seydoux (in LV), Miranda Kerr (in LV), Michelle Rodriguez, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Camilla Belle; Sir Elton John, who presented to Beckham; and many others. Matt Damon provided a heartfelt video message for a special tribute to Jerry Weintraub.

Presented by Louis Vuitton, the UNICEF Ball marked the launch of of LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF, a global partnership between the humanitarian organization for children and the luxury fashion house to help support children affected by conflict, disease, natural disasters, and other situations that threaten their safety and well-being.

This year, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and soccer star David Beckham was honored with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award for his extraordinary support of UNICEF’s work to put children first, and President of the University of Southern California C. L. Max Nikias, who received with the Spirit of Compassion Award for his work shaping the minds of a generation of students to be philanthropic, globally minded, and informed of the issues that are affecting the world’s children. Funds from the live auction benefit 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund, an initiative by David Beckham to help UNICEF save and protect the world’s most vulnerable children.
