Maison Assouline And Louis Vuitton Launch Haute Book ‘Louis Vuitton Windows’

It’s that special time of year again. Cities transform into intricately decorated canvases for holiday inspiration. Twinkly lights outline urban streets, mistletoe is hung high, and store windows become beautiful displays of perfect holiday gifts. It comes as no surprise that luxury powerhouse Louis Vuitton would join in on the holiday spirit this year.

In collaboration with Maison Assouline’s flagship store on Picadilly, Louis Vuitton celebrated the launch of their new book To commemorate the Assouline published creation, the two brands created a masterpiece of over thirty-five displays. Faye Mcleod, Louis Vuitton Visual Image Director, and Martine and Prosper Assouline, founders and owners of Assouline publishing hosted the haute premiere.

Each display was filled with elements and props allocated from some of the most famous Louis Vuitton windows featured in the ’Louis Vuitton Windows’ book. This included three gleaming gold resin dinosaur skeletons from the Natural History windows in 2013, a life size doll of artist Yayoi Kusama from the 2012 windows, and a group of glossy oversized cherries from the Sofia Coppola windows in 2013 that now adorn a custom made margarita bar in the upstairs library room.

The celebration was a haute display on it’s own. Guests were served Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne, citron presses and margaritas decorated with custom made gold dinosaur drink stirrers. Louis Vuitton logo’d cheese and truffle toasties, and warm langoustine and ginger served on special custom made Louis Vuitton smiley face food picks were also enjoyed by attendees.
