The collection

Smashbox Cosmetics & Donald Robertson have partnered with Rebecca Minkoff to celebrate the grand opening of her Los Angeles Flagship Store.

To celebrate the partnership, Donald created limited edition, illustrated packaging for Smashbox Cosmetic’s Be Legendary Lipstick in Paris Pink, Femme Fatale and Infrared Matte shades. The artwork was inspired by Rebecca’s iconic zippers, hardware and fringe. Insta illustrator, Donald frequently collaborates with Smashbox Cosmetics, the Los Angeles-based makeup company which is created, tested and photographed at Smashbox Studios, a favorite location for Hollywood’s top photographers. The special edition Smashbox Cosmetics Be Legendary Matte Lipsticks will be sold exclusively in the Rebecca Minkoff Los Angeles store.

The haute shades master the matte lip trend with this silky hybrid formula. The vivid color glides on smooth, with added adherence power to help the lipstick stay in place all day. Plus, each sultry shade has added Vitamins C and E for saturated color that never dries out your lips. These ultra-smooth mattes with studio-quality staying power glide on smooth, delivering rich, vibrant color in just one stroke.

The trifecta celebrated the launch and simultaneously celebrated Rebecca Minkoff’s third location in the United States at a soiree at hew new, 4,600 square foot space boutique, located on 8335 Melrose Avenue, on Tuesday evening.

To celebrate the opening, the store hosted many of Los Angeles’ most stylish fashionistas over champagne and music by DJ and stylist Johnny Wujek. Smashbox Cosmetics hosted a Lip Gloss Bar where guests were able to customize their own lip glosses and take them home in a customized case.

Additionally, New York-based artist Robertson presented a live art on Rebecca Minkoff and Uri Minkoff shoes and bags. In the past 18 months, Robertson has focused free time on his solo art career after Instagram launched him into the global spotlight where the press has named him the “Andy Warhol of Instagram.”

The lipsticks are available now through Dec. 31 and are priced at $20.
