Weekend In Review: Bollywood Stars In Dubai, DSS Ends

Bollywood stars descended on Dubai en masse over the weekend for the Bollywood Dubai Lifestyle Exhibition, which featured several fashion shows with A-listers walking the ramp for the world’s most exclusive brands. Also summer is winding down in Dubai, and with the end of summer comes the end of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). The city-wide shopping and music festival went out with a bang as the Great Chinese State Circus gave several performances of the Swan Lake Acrobatic Ballet.

Bollywood Dubai Lifestyle Exhibition

Dubai was treated to the presence of many of Bollywood’s biggest celebrities over the weekend during the second edition of the Bollywood Dubai Lifestyle Exhibition, which was hosted by Being Posh Event Management.

The star-studded affair brought names like Sonal Chauhan, Ankita Bhandari, and Tamanna Bali to Dubai.

Dubai Summer Surprises Ends With Swan Lake

The fun of Dubai Summer Surprises continued last week with the Swan Lake Acrobatic Ballet, which was performed by the Great Chinese State Circus, but all good things must come to an end. The Swan Lake Acrobatic Ballet wrapped up the shopping and music extravaganza with the story of Swan Lake.

The Great Chinese State Circus told the story through a combination of breathtaking Chinese acrobatics with ballet and opera. The event started on Thursday and ended on Saturday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.  The show previously traveled through Europe, performing for royalty in the U.K. and Monaco.

The DSS shopping frenzy also came to an end on Saturday after 45 days of deals to be had throughout the city. Now Dubai officially shifts out of summer gear and back into the usual school and work routine.
