Upper East Side’s communal dining concept Sopra is hosting a culinary voyage through Greece with its upcoming Aegean Islands Dinner Series.
Those who have yet to taste the flavors of Greece can save the trip and indulge right here in Manhattan. Upper East Side’s communal dining concept Sopra is hosting a culinary voyage through Greece with its upcoming Aegean Islands Dinner Series.
Every other Saturday night, from August 28 to October 10, Chef Rachel Goulet will prepare 10 dishes over five courses, inspired by recipes and ingredients encountered in her recent travels through the Aegean Islands.
Attending guests will be seated at a rectangular, extended table, where they can mingle with each other and interact with Chef Goulet as she cooks, in an upstairs dining room (with an open kitchen) above Amali. Each course will be served family-style and will be paired with specialty wines from the isles that are selected by sommelier Frankie Mace.
Welcome aperitifs will be served at 7:30 p.m., and dinner will begin at 8 p.m.
Limited seating is available at each dinner. Reserve a seat for $150 per person by calling Sopra at (212) 339-8363.
