Sephora Pops Up At Abu Dhabi International Airport
For the next month, passengers flying from Abu Dhabi International Airport will be able to enjoy unparalleled beauty and cosmetic products before their departure. Sephora announced their first set of airport pop up stores at the Abu Dhabi Duty Free.
Following the opening of the airport’s Emporia Armani boutique and the expansion of T3’s Burberry shop, France’s leading cosmetics and perfume chain, with more than 1,900 stores in 29 countries including 24 shops in the Middle East, will bring an increase in profits for both the airport and the haute cosmetics company. With 31 percent share of duty free turnover in 2014, helping to increase overall annual sales by almost 10 percent, Sephora is sure to be a hit!
Abu Dhabi Airports acting chief-commercial officer Daniel Cappell said, “We are delighted to welcome Sephora to Abu Dhabi Duty Free and to be the first airport to host them in a duty-free retail space managed and operated by our retailer partner DFS.”
The stores will be open at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 between August 1st and October 31st. This new pop up will provide exclusive beauty products for the travelers flying from the airport. “Made in Sephora” offers “a profusion of exciting products, textures and color,” according to the Sephora website.
Sephora, which is owned by leading luxury goods group, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, is known for its quality product and its ability to consistently adapt to the new demands and trends of their clients. This is also the desire of Abu Dhabi International Airport, which wants to continuously improve their customer experience. In partnership with DFS and Sephora, the addition of Sephora to the impressive brands offered by the airport is set to increase sales for both the airport and the iconic cosmetic giant.
“Beauty and fragrance is an important part of our offering to passengers and the choice of leading brands has increased to meet their demands. Sephora, with its unique, open-sell shopping environment, perfectly complements our commitment to offer travellers a world-class, unique shopping experience within the airport,” Cappell continued.
Abu Dhabi International airport is currently undergoing a multi-billion dollar redevelopment and is working to increase its capacity to more than 45m passengers per year. Along with the redevelopment and expansion of many stores, this pop up will add both comfort and exclusivity to the airport. The Sephora pop up will be a perfect addition to the airport and will provide every essential beauty need a passenger could ask for.
