Haute 100 NYC: Daniel Boulud to Be Honored at Pratt Institute’s Legends 2015 Scholarship Benefit

Recognized as one of the top schools in the northeast, Pratt Institute will host its annual Legends 2015 benefit honoring icons from the art and design realm, whose work has transformed the cultural landscape.

The annual scholarship benefit will honor renowned chef and Haute 100 lister Daniel Boulud, influential interior designer Nina Campbell, distinguished photographer and filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and award-winning architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien.

According to the Pratt Institute, “Daniel Boulud is considered one of America’s leading culinary authorities. Since arriving in the United States in 1982, Boulud has become renowned for the contemporary appeal he adds to soulful cooking rooted in the tradition of his native France. Boulud has 16 restaurants, including 12 in the United States. His culinary accolades include James Beard Foundation awards for Outstanding Restaurant; Outstanding Restaurateur; Best Chef, New York City; and Outstanding Chef of the Year. Boulud has been named ‘Chef of the Year’ by The Culinary Institute of America and received the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur from the French government.”

Tickets start at $1,500. For a cool $1,500 you’ll receive one ticket to the gala as well as your name on the program. If you would like to contribute more to the creative and innovative students at Pratt opt to purchase one of the tables: Innovator Table $12,500, which includes 10 tickets as well as name on the program or Visionary Table $25,000, which includes 10 tickets, name on the program, name on Pratt’s site and name in the event’s visual presentation. There is also the Legends Vice Chair for $75,000 and a Legends Chair for $100,00, which includes a number of special recognitions.

The event will take place at the Mandarin Oriental New York on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Legends 2015 event raises funds for merit and need-based scholarships, as 90 percent of Pratt students receive financial aid to pursue their education.

Other notable honorees include Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, the late Joan Rivers, David Yurman and much more.
