In a two-day event hosted by South Miami specialty shoe and accessory boutique, Capretto Shoes, the city’s style set will meet and greet acclaimed Chelsea Paris designer, Theresa Ebagua, while shopping the brand’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection. Ebagua launched Chelsea Paris, named in honor of her two daughters, with a vision to create footwear that blended timeless design and craftsmanship with her affinity for all things colorful, unique and 1920s Art Deco-inspired. Ebagua’s native Africa is also a primary source of inspiration in her designs; the rare artifacts indigenous to her country translate into each piece and represent the Chelsea Paris customer: the woman that is well-traveled, fearless and effortlessly stylish. The first of two events taking place this week will be Thursday, August 13th from 9:30-11:30AM at Cecconi’s, where Ebagua will join Marina Larroudé, Fashion and Accessories Director of Teen Vogue, and Capretto’s head buyer, Jason Salstein, to host the next installment of Soho House’s Fashion for Breakfast.

Teen Vogue’s Marina Larroudé has established herself as an authority in fashion in her own right; the Vogue Brazil alum began her career in her hometown of of Araçatuba and São Paulo, Brazil where she first acted as a contributing editor for the publication. Before joining Teen Vogue, Larroudé also held roles at Style.com and Temperley London. Similarly, Capretto’s Jason Salstein’s long list of achievements began when he served as Creative Director for Hunting Season, a brand worn by stars like Kate Hudson and Kerri Washington, and sold in stores including Bergdorf Goodman and Intermix. Since then, he’s also launched the controversial Our Lord and Savior label (a brand made famous by Madonna) and held a consulting position with American luxury brand, St. John. An expert in all matters of taste, Salstein now injects his one-of-a-kind sense of style into Capretto’s carefully-curated buy and assortment.

Fashion for Breakfast attendees will learn more about each of the hosts’ personal journeys into the world of fashion, and will feast their eyes (both literally and figuratively) on the Pre-Fall 2015 Chelsea Paris collection, while enjoying a breakfast of cold-pressed juice varieties, avocado toast and superfood bowls. Previously sold exclusively at Barney’s New York, Chelsea Paris has finally made its way to Miami at Capretto Shoes. A celebrity favorite, Chelsea Paris clients include Beyonce, Cameron Diaz, Lupita Nyongo, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. The event continues on Friday, when guests are invited into Capretto’s boutique for an intimate shopping experience from 2-4PM with the guest designer. And to boot, Theresa Ebagua will be on hand to sketch and sign shoes purchased.
