Tongue & Cheek’s “Kitchen Collabs” Bring a Taste of the “Big Easy” to Miami
Starting next Tuesday, Tongue & Cheek's "Summer Series Kitchen Collabs" will bring NOLA's award-winning chefs to Miami Beach.
Since 2012, Miami Beach’s award-winning neighborhood haunt, Tongue & Cheek Restaurant, has hosted its deliciously inventive “Kitchen Collabs” — inviting America’s favorite celebrity chefs to participate in one-night-only collaborative dinners with Tongue & Cheek’s own culinary genius, Chef-Owner Jamie DeRosa. Adding a taste of the “Big Easy” to the mix, just next week, the restaurant will kick-off its Summer Series Kitchen Collabs with two of NOLA’s best chefs: James Beard-nominated Slade Rushing, of Brennan’s, as well as James Beard “Best Chef” finalist Justin Devillier, of La Petit Grocery.
With both Rushing and Devillier scheduled for one visit between July and August, and a special surprise guest to be announced for September, each dinner will showcase five courses of indigenous cuisine from each chef’s signature New Orleans-style menu. And to put the “collab” in Kitchen Collabs, DeRosa will add his own whimsical style to Chef Rushing’s Southern-global and Devillier’s creative New Orleans cuisine. The result? A fused and fabulous pairing dinner like South Florida foodies have never tried before.
Tongue & Cheek Restaurant is located at 431 Washington Avenue. The Summer Series Kitchen Collabs with Chef Slade Rushing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21st at 7 PM, while Chef Justin Devillier’s is scheduled for Monday, August 10th at 7 PM. Tickets cost $75 per person, with optional pairings for $25 more. Dinner reservations are highly suggested and can be made by calling (305) 704-2900.
