Since its establishment, the brand was on a constant search for uniqueness. However, the search ended when they developed a new technology specifically for Melissa. Melissa created a material called MELFLEX, a form of PVC (a produced synthetic plastic) that provides improved elasticity, impermeability and resistance. The hypoallergenic, odorless, and eco-friendly material can maintain 100 percent of its original properties after being recycled.

Melissa has had more than 20 partnership agreements with illustrious names in fashion, design, music and celebrities. Among the many names who signed with Melissa are Zaha Hadid, Campana brothers, Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Jason Wu, and Judy Blame.

Melissa Shoes are available for purchase at Melissa Boutiques around the world and at select Bloomingdales, Saks and Nordstrom department stores in the United States.

Melissa opened its first South Florida location in Miami Beach in 2013 as a pop up. The immediate success by Miami’s savvy fashionistas propelled the brand to open additional stores in the South Florida market including: Aventura, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, and a fourth location is slated to open summer 2015 in South Miami.
