Emily Schuman Talks About Her New Cupcakes & Cashmere Fashion Line

Blogger giant Emily Schuman, founder of Cupcakes & Cashmere, launched her signature clothing collection at Nordstrom and ShopBop stores exclusively. Hot styles have already started to sell out, which is no surprise considering her massive following of style admirers. This August, Schuman will launch her Cupcakes and Cashmere collection to the retail masses at MAGIC, the world’s largest fashion marketplace, in Las Vegas from Aug. 17-19.

We had a chance to chat with Emily about her favorite trends of the moment and why she chose to go wide at MAGIC.

What are your favorite trends right now?
Currently, I’m loving high-waisted denim, T-shirt dresses and oversized sweaters.

What are your favorite pieces from the new Cupcakes and Cashmere collection?
The sheer drop-waisted dress, the tailored green anorak and the navy cape coat!

What are you most looking forward to at MAGIC?
This is my first time attending MAGIC, and I’ve been told to prepare myself for the sheer size and energy the showcase presents. I’m looking forward to meeting new clients, discovering new brands and expanding my awareness of the industry in general, since our company is now evolving beyond the scope of digital content. It’s a very exciting time for Cupcakes and Cashmere and we’re so fortunate to have BB Dakota as a partner in bringing this line to market.
