The temperatures are climbing, which means the chaise lounges and cabanas have once again reopened at The Colonnade Hotel’s Roof Top Pool. The Back Bay hotel opened the city’s only rooftop pool to visitors yesterday. This just might be the best way to cool off this summer.
Located on the 12th floor, the pool has incredible city views of the Boston skyline. Sit out in the sun all day under an umbrella reading a book, reserve a private cabana or belly up to the 12-seat bar here and enjoy a pina colada al fresco. The Colonnade’s Executive Chef Nick Calias has created a new poolside menu that includes everything from grilled swordfish tacos and a lobster rolls to lamb skewers and crab and avocado eclairs. If you are looking for something to share, don’t miss Boston’s famous North End Regina Pizzeria pies, which are also served here.
The pool deck has hosted exclusive events up here in past years, including private concerts with The Fray and Uncle Kracker. This summer, you can head up here for a weekly roof top Vinyasa yoga class hosted on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. by Boston yoga teacher and author of the recently released book, “Do Your Om Thing: Bending Yoga Tradition to Fit Your Modern Life.” Locals, hotels guests and Colonnade residents of all levels can head to this urban retreat for a class designed to strengthen body, mind and soul.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. $40.00 cover charge for the public; free for hotel guests
5 to 10 p.m. $20 cover charge; open to the public and hotel guests
Tuesdays-Thursdays:

5 to 9 p.m. $20 cover charge; open to the public and hotel guests
Fridays and Saturdays:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hotel guests & Colonnade Residents only
