London: Craig Green Collaborates With Nick Knight

British designer Craig Green, tipped to be one of the hottest new emerging talents, is partnering with photography veteran Nick Knight on the campaign images for his Fall collection. The images, which will be available both online and in print, are first set to appear on Knight’s ShowStudio website and will be made into a film which will launch in June just before the London Collections: Men shows.

“On one hand, it’s so simple and pure, rooted in ideas of traditional masculine workwear, but on the other it’s so dynamic, so theatrical — full of energy and movement. That’s what makes it so special to photograph,” said Knight of Green’s work. Similarly, the designer commented that working with Knight allowed him to get across “what we wanted to express, and the energy of the collection.” Dover Street Market in both London and New York will also be supporting the highly anticipated collection by showcasing installations based on Green’s work in the store windows. The New York branch of the store will be debuting the storefront next week, just in time for the Frieze Art Fair that opens Thursday.

This isn’t the only thing on Green’s mind however. The designer is currently a finalist for the prestigious LVMH 2015 prize and will be competing with the likes of Arthur Arbesser, Coperni, Faustine Steinmetz, Jacquemus, Marques’Almeida, Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh and Vetements for the $358,200 cash prize and year of mentorship. He is the only designer to make it as a finalist in the menswear sector.
