Alice + Olivia Partners with CFDA for New Capsule Collection

This year marks the first collaboration in a three-year partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and artists, the proceeds of which will help support the organization in its efforts to promote young talent within the fashion industry. Thanks to the efforts by MM Curate founder Malini Murjani, Domingo Zapata and Alice + Olivia CEO and creative director Stacey Bendet joined forces to create three stunning ensembles using fabric inspired by the artist’s murals.

Variations of Zapata’s hand-painted creations have also been converted into a capsule collection, which are now available for purchase at all Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet stores, as well as the brand’s other retail partners. Fifty percent of all sales will be donated to the CFDA.

Each year moving forward, Alice + Olivia will work with a new artist to create a one-of-a-kind piece to be auctioned off with 100 percent of proceeds going to the CFDA.

New York’s most notable tastemakers and trendsetters came together on April 28 for a lavish dinner at Zapata’s Gramercy Park residence to celebrate the launch of his new Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) art collaboration with Alice + Olivia.

“As an artist, my purpose is to share with the world those things that speak to my heart,” Zapata’s revealed.
