Given that there is so much happening over this three-day music festival (so large that it’s now replicated over two back-to-back weekends every year), we thought we’d whittle down the most essential fetes, activations and celebrity-spotting events of Coachella 2015.
NEON CARNIVAL
This Brent Bolthouse-hosted shindig is the big daddy of all Coachella parties. The piece de resistance of weekend one takes place at the Thermal Airport offsite, and starts at 10 P.M. (it goes until the wee hours). Big names like Jared Leto, Usher, Diddy and even Clint Eastwood have attended in the past to dance, ride carnival rides like bumper cars and a ferris wheel and play games for prizes.
THE SEPHORA COLLECTION DIY BEAUTY BAR
Given how many fashion and beauty conscious females attend Coachella, Sephora’s one-stop pit stop for all beauty needs is a must. Inspired by the striking Palm Springs landscape, SEPHORA COLLECTION has created an immersive beauty-centric patio, complete with a DIY Beauty Bar, Fiber Mask fire pit lounge, panoramic images, faux grass, and live plant life installation, all inside a massive 40’ by 40’ tent located next to the Mojave Stage. This air-conditioned oasis offers an escape from the heat, the opportunity to freshen up your festival style, and to discover the best in beauty from Sephora. Play with trends like contouring, ombre lips, metallic temporary tattoos, face and body art, and festival-worthy hair styles, all with the help of Sephora experts including The Sephora PRO Team. Afterwards, guests can head over to the digital photo booth to tag and share their looks with social followers.
SOHO HOUSE IN THE DESERT
Hip members-only club Soho House is heading to the desert for its third consecutive year to provide a chic pop-up oasis to partygoers. From Friday, April 10th through Sunday, April 12th, Soho House will once again transform a sprawling villa in La Quinta, creating an oasis for artists, talent and the fashion and music industry members who support them. Guests will be able to escape the heat and enjoy Soho House style snacks, private events and music moments throughout the day, take a dip in the pool and have some late-night fun set to the beats of a rotating cast of guest DJ’s. Partners include Grey Goose, BMW (who will show off a fleet of their new electric i3 vehicles) and Spotify.
THE BOOTSY BELLOWS ESTATE
Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Aaron Paul are the expected guests at Chevrolet and McDonald’s pool party, held at the Bootsy Bellows Estate in Rancho Mirage on April 11th. 2 Chainz, Cody Simpson, Brody Jenner, Johnny Wujek, and Devin Lucien will provide the entertainment; guests will additionally get to nosh on bites from McD’s and check out rides like the 2015 Corvette Z06.
RACHEL ZOE’S “ZOE OASIS” AND BRUNCH
Super stylist Rachel Zoe is hosting a pool party with her The Zoe Report and Dolce Vita at a private estate in Little Tuscany on April 11th. There will be a “friends only” brunch in the morning followed by an afternoon of music and shopping. Her Dream Dry blowout bar will also partner with Scunci to do an offsite braid bar for those who want no fuss, no muss locks.
COACH’S SHOPBAZAAR BRUNCH
Coach will present its Tribal collection on Saturday, April 11th, at a brunch hosted by creative director Stuart Vevers, allowing festivalgoers the chance to preview and shop the new collection and incorporate it into their weekend wardrobes even before it’s in-store. Zoe Kravitz will co-host.
MERCEDES-BENZ VIP BRUNCH
Mercedes-Benz heads to the desert to co-host a brunch on April 11th with Dannijo and Questlove that will be attended by tastemakers like HAIM, Jamie Chung, Hilary Rhoda and Mia Moretti.Â
MOSCHINO LATE NIGHT HOSTED BY JEREMY SCOTT
This invite-only bash is the party everyone will want to go to, but few will actually be invited to attend. Given the big name celebrities Jeremy Scott counts among his close friends, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry turning up the heat here.
LACOSTE’S #LIVEBEAUTIFULLY DESERT POOL PARTY
Lacoste’s annual Coachella bash is always attended by the creme de la creme (from Diane Kruger to Kristen Stewart) so make sure to get your invite sorted out quickly for April 12th.
