Beyond: Peek Inside This Uber-Lux Boeing 747-8
A former aircraft has been converted into one very posh private plane.

Greenpoint Technologies, Inc., a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) completion center, has transformed the inside of Boeing 747-8 into one lux mini air mansion. The former aircraft once held the capacity of transporting 450 passengers. However, the 4,786 sq. ft. jet currently features a stateroom, lounges, an office, a grand dining room, a master suite, guest accommodations and staff seating.

In a statement, Greenpoint Chairman Jon Buccola said, “This delivery represents an outstanding year (past 12 months) for Greenpoint. We inducted our first 787, contracted our second 787, became part of Zodiac Aerospace and now, redeliver the first 747-8 VIP in the industry. Our entire team is extremely proud of this amazing accomplishment.

It has been reported by Mirror UK, the original price of the plane is approximately £230 million ($247 million), with the lux changes costing £160 million ($171 million).

Greenpoint has not released the name of the buyer, but they did reveal the plane has been completed after three years of work.
In October 2014, the BBJ completion center began flight-testing the VIP 747-8.
The company, which was established in 1998, creates luxury aircraft products and VIP completions exclusively for Boeing aircraft. For 25 years, the company has provided turnkey VIP completions.
Greenpoint Technologies, Inc. is now part of Zodiac Aerospace.
